Irrigation FiltersBusy Bee Wastewater uses and recommends Arkal disc filters. Arkal disc filters have an innovative filter design which incorporates a plastic disc filter system, which in turn will retain a large amount of solids. The filters require little maintenance with cleaning normally only required when your aerated wastewater treatment system (AWTS) is serviced. The varying filter capacities are colour coded from 40 mesh to 200 mesh. Busy Bee Wastewater stocks the 1"standard filter, 1" standard Tech-Filter and 1" standard Tech-Filter replacement cartridge. P.O.A.
Installing an Arkal disc filter upstream of the irrigation outlets insures that the system has the cleanest effluent possible entering the irrigation system. It is also considered a secondary back-up from the treatment system process. P.O.A.
The Tech-Filter is a disc filter with a chemical root intrusion preventor (trifluralin). The unique design characteristics when used in the domestic onsite market provides for an effective physical barrier against root intrusion without the addition of root inhibiting chemicals. The Tech-Filter is installed when maximum protection is required for dripline that is buried sub surface. The Tech-Filter incorporates a replaceable filter element embedded with Trifluralin. As water passes through this filter, a very low concentration of trifluralin (parts per billion) passes through the system. This technology provides very precise and even distribution of trifluralin throughout the dripline and provides added insurance. This approach to root intrusion prevention eliminates skin irritation from chemical during installation, does not require that dripline be stored out of the sun, and is indefinitely renewable as needed. 1" Standard Tech-Filter Replacement Cartridge P.O.A.
The Tech-Filter replacement cartridge should be replaced every 2 years from installation date. |
