Sludge RemovalBusy Bee Wastewater supervises the pump outs / sludge removal of AWTS's. Using Busy Bee Wastewater to supervise AWTS pump outs minimises the risk of the AWTS been damaged, it also gives us the opportunity to inspect the AWTS sub liquid height that is not normally visible to ensure it is intact and functional. If required we refill the AWTS with your own water supply or can organise a water tanker with the left over fresh water put into your own water tank if so desired. Some AWTS's require the partial removal of the main lid to gain proper access to ensure that all solids are removed. Not moving the lid of the AWTS when required results in only partially removing solids and means that you will require another pump out sooner rather than later. Generally under normal use a pump out is required every 5 to 10 years. Other than an emergency service, the pump out of AWTS's is coincided with a routine service, as you are already paying for the labour, we do not charge for the service just chlorine generally no more than $15.00. On the New South Wales Central Coast the charge of the pump out contractor is regulated by the local council. You will note Wyong Shire Council AWTS pump outs are more expensive than Gosford City Council AWTS pump outs. We are led to believe most of the difference is contributed to the charge by the council for treating the waste removed at the councils STP (sewerage treatment plant). The Busy Bee Wastewater pricing & payments page has a list of the prices charged.
